New Delhi: Several important decisions were taken in a meeting held at his residence on Thursday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Several decisions were taken, including giving the airport in private hands, setting up of an independent agency for the examination of government jobs in the country, raising the MSP of crops. Environment Minister Prakash Javedkar, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Jitendra Singh and Secretary of the Ministry were present in the press conference organized to give information about the decisions taken in the meeting.
Giving information, the minister said, “The Union Cabinet has approved the fair and remunerative price of sugarcane, under which the payable for the season 2020-21 is Rs. 285 per quintal has increased the basic rate by 10%. “
He said, “The Union Cabinet approved a one-time rebate to Power Finance Corporation and Rural Electrification Corporation for lending to DISCOMs above the 25% of working capital of last year’s revenue under the Ujjwal Discom Assurance Scheme.”
Establishment of ‘National Recruitment Agency’ to conduct Common Eligibility Test
Javadekar said, “The Union Cabinet has approved the establishment of a ‘National Recruitment Agency’ to conduct a Common Eligibility Test. This decision will provide employment to the youth of the country. ”
The government’s secretary C. Chandramouli said, “There are more than 20 recruitment agencies in the central government. Although we are making the examinations of only three agencies normal so far, but with time we will be able to give the general eligibility test for all recruitment agencies. ”
Three airports in private hands
The minister further said, “With this the Union Cabinet approved the proposal of Airports Authority of India (AAI) to rent Jaipur, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram airports through public-private partnership.”

On the National Recruitment Agency for conducting Common Eligibility Test, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said, “This is one of the most historic reforms in the history of independent India. It will facilitate recruitment, selection, ease of employment and livelihood especially for certain sections of the society, especially for the social class which has to suffer such losses. ”
He said, “The merit list of Common Entrance Test (CET) will be valid for 3 years, during which candidates can apply for jobs in various fields on the basis of their merit and choice.”
