Dubai: Even before the start of the thirteenth season of the IPL, the BCCI has suffered a major setback. A bowler and 12 members of the support staff of the Chennai Super Kings team, who have entered the UAE, are corona test positive. This news has been given by India Today.

The health of all the members of the Corona-infected Chennai team is stable and has been shifted to the isolated ward as a precaution. The BCCI issued guidelines to all the teams after their arrival in the UAE. The Chennai team was also following all these rules. But the names of positive players have not been released.

The Chennai team players who reached Dubai have completed their six-day quarantine period as per the rules. However, due to the Corona report coming positive for some members of the Chennai team, the players have not yet started their exercise. Teams like Rajasthan and Punjab have started training after completing their quarantine period.

All players and support staff were corona tested after reaching Dubai. However, the quarantine period of the Chennai team has been extended by a week due to the Chennai team having 12 members and one player being Corona positive.

The IPL is scheduled to begin in Dubai from 19 September to 10 November. The Chennai team reached Dubai on 21 August.
