According to the information, the rescue operation is going on near the 15th milestone on the Gangtok-Natu La road, where the avalanche occurred. Seven people died in this. News agency ANI quoted BRO officials as saying that 27 tourists have been rescued so far after an avalanche hit the Jawaharlal Nehru road connecting Gangtok to Nathula. It has been told that after removing the snow from the road, 350 tourists and 80 vehicles stuck on the way have also been evacuated safely.
