
New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has reprimanded the police while hearing the riots in the capital against the Citizenship Act. The court said, “The functioning and investigation of the police is helping the accused to escape. Due to which the accused have escaped. Along with this, the court has also imposed a fine of 25 thousand on the police.
In fact, the victim of the Delhi riots, Mohammad Nasir, had filed a petition in the court, in which he claimed that he got hit in the eye during the riots. During this, he had demanded to register a case against six people living adjacent to his house. On this petition, the court had asked the police to register an FIR, which was opposed by the Delhi Police.
The accused were identified
Nasir had also identified all the six accused along with the people against whom the case was registered. Former BJP MLA Naresh Gaur was also named among these accused.
