New Delhi: In a significant boost to India’s rapidly growing electric scooter segment, Bengaluru-based Ather Energy has unveiled its latest offering, the Ather Rizta, setting a new benchmark in the budget-friendly category. Designed to rival the likes of TVS iQube, Ola S1, and Hero Vida V1, the Ather Rizta emerges as a formidable player with its competitive pricing starting at ₹1.10 lakh (ex-showroom).

Variants and Pricing: A Closer Look
The Ather Rizta series rolls out in three distinct variants:

  • Rizta S: Equipped with a 2.9 kWh battery, priced at ₹1.10 lakh.
  • Rizta Z: Featuring a 3.7 kWh battery, available at ₹1.25 lakh.
  • Rizta Z+: The top-tier variant, priced at ₹1.45 lakh.

All prices are ex-showroom, making the Rizta an attractive proposition for eco-conscious consumers.

Design and Range: Sleek and Efficient
The Rizta boasts a sharp, sleek design with a minimalist aesthetic, appealing to modern riders. The 2.9 kWh battery variant offers a range of 123 km, while the 3.7 kWh model extends this to an impressive 160 km. Despite the varying battery capacities, all variants share a top speed cap of 80 kmph.

Feature-Rich Riding Experience
Ather doesn’t skimp on features, with the Rizta S available in three solid colors and the Rizta Z in seven hues, including dual-tone options. Riders can switch between two modes, Zip and SmartEco, for an optimized ride. Safety is paramount, with the inclusion of a traction control system, skid control, emergency stop signal (ESS), and a theft and tow detect system.

The Rizta also offers ride assist features like auto hold and reverse mode, enhancing convenience. The base model sports a 7-inch LCD display, while the other variants upgrade to a 7-inch TFT display.

Safety Meets Style: Halo Helmets
In tandem with the scooter’s launch, Ather introduced the Halo helmet line. The Halo Bit is priced at ₹4,999, and the premium Halo at ₹14,999, with a pre-order discount of ₹2,000, marrying safety with style.
