
Washington: US Foreign Minister Antony Blinken said that at least 13 countries have agreed to provide temporary asylum to Afghan people facing risks ejected from Afghanistan, and about 12 more countries, including the US and others. Blinken said in a statement on Friday that potential Afghan refugees who have not already been resettled in the US will be sent to Albania, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Mexico, Poland, Qatar. , will be offered at centers in Rwanda, Ukraine, and Uganda. Blinken said, “We are pleased to be considered by other countries to provide assistance. There is no greater priority for us than to meet our commitments to the safety of American citizens overseas and to citizens of allies and Afghans at risk.”
