Madhya Pradesh CM announces subsidy for readymade garments industry, free coaching for defense aspirants

Morena: In a bid to boost employment and industrial growth in the state, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav announced a slew of incentives and schemes for various sectors at the Employment Day function organized in Morena on February 1.

Addressing the gathering, the CM said that the state government will provide subsidies to anyone who wants to open a new factory in Madhya Pradesh, especially in the readymade garments industry, which has a huge potential for job creation. He said that for setting up a readymade garments factory in Morena on the lines of Ujjain, a subsidy of Rs 5,000 per worker will be given for 10 years. He also said that the government will facilitate land acquisition, power supply, water supply and other infrastructure for the new units.

The CM also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various highways costing about Rs 10,000 crore, along with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who joined the event through video conferencing. He said that these highways will improve connectivity and mobility in the region and attract more investment.

The CM also launched a new scheme for the youth of Madhya Pradesh who aspire to join the defence services. He said that under the Agniveer Yojana, the state government will provide free coaching for 360 hours to the candidates who have applied through the scheme and cleared the written and physical tests. He said that the government will also bear the cost of the training and provide a stipend to the trainees. He said that the scheme will help the youth to fulfil their dream of serving the nation and also enhance the representation of Madhya Pradesh in the armed forces.

The CM also highlighted the achievements of his government in the last eight days, since he took oath as the chief minister. He said that in the virtual presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he handed over the dues of more than 4,000 workers of Hukumchand Mill, who had been waiting for justice for 31 years. He said that the government will also clear the dues of the workers of JC Mill of Gwalior and Shankar Mill of Morena, which were closed down without notice. He said that the government will ensure that every penny of the poor, farmer and labourer is returned to them.

The CM also expressed confidence that the double-engine government of BJP at the centre and the state will work for the welfare and development of all sections of the society. He said that the Ganga of development is flowing in all areas and in the coming time, industries will be set up in Bhind and Morena as well. He said that the government is also working to increase the income of the milk-producing farmers by promoting the breed of indigenous cows and setting up cooperative projects. He said that the government is guided by the culture of taking everyone along and moving everyone forward. He said that the motto of the government is ‘Sarve bhavantu sukhinah, sarve santu niramaya’.
