Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has welcomed the Supreme Court order on Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case. State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh while speaking to the media said, “We welcome the decision of the Supreme Court and we will provide whatever support is required by the CBI.”

Praising the Mumbai Police in a press conference, Deshmukh said, “It is a matter of pride for the Mumbai Police that the Supreme Court has noticed that no fault has been found in their investigation.” On the question asked to conduct a similarity check with the CBI on the Sushant suicide case, the Home Minister said, “As per Article 34 of the Supreme Court order, the state government will consider.”

Chief Minister called DGP to meet
Earlier, the Mumbai Police Commissioner had reached his residence to meet Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Home Minister Anil Deshmukh after the court’s decision. During this time, the state’s DGP Subodh Kumar Jaiswal also called to meet. However, the officials who came out after the meeting did not respond to any question about what happened with the Chief Minister.

CBI apply for exemption from quarantine
After the decision of the High Court, the CBI team will soon go to Mumbai for investigation. To which the Commissioner of Brihanmumbai Metropolitan Municipality, Iqbal Singh Chahal said, “If the CBI team arrives for 7 days, then according to the current quarantine guidelines of MCGM, if they are carrying confirmed return tickets, they will be automatically quarantined. Will be exempt from If they come for more than 7 days, they will have to apply for exemption through our email id, we will give them a discount. ”
