4G internet services being restored in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: In Jammu and Kashmir, the closed 4G Internet service is being restored for the last several months. Let us tell you that on August 5, 2019, the Parliament revoked Article 370 status from Jammu and Kashmir last year. Since then, Internet services were suspended in Kashmir. Principal Secretary Rohit Kansal (Power and Information) informed that a decision has been taken to restore 4G Internet service throughout Jammu and Kashmir. Please tell that at this time 2G service is running in Jammu and Kashmir. A petition was also filed in the Supreme Court for the restoration of the 4G Internet service in the state.

In January this year, President of the National Conference, Farooq Abdullah, demanded the restoration of 4G Internet service from PM Narendra Modi. He had said that people are facing many problems due to lack of this service. Omar Abdullah, who was delighted on 4G internet in Jammu and Kashmir, said, “Better late than never.”

Rohit Kansal tweeted on Friday, ‘4G mobile internet service is being restored all over Jammu and Kashmir’. According to sources, this service is likely to be restored from midnight on Friday. In August last year, high-speed mobile Internet service was restored in two districts, Ganderbal in Kashmir region and Udhampur in Jammu region.
