New Delhi: Japanese carmaker Suzuki has launched the new avatar of WagonR Smile for its markets. The company has given the design of MPV to this car, in which sliding doors have been given. The company has currently introduced this MPV for the domestic markets, no information has been shared about its launch in other countries yet. The company has fixed the starting price of WagonR Smile at around Rs 8.30 lakh. While the price of the top variant of this car has been fixed at around Rs 11.44 lakh.

The company has given this car a minivan-like design and boxy look. The radiator grille and round shape headlights have been given in the front of this car. The company has set a target of selling 60,000 units of this car annually, according to which the company will have to sell around 5,000 units every month.

The company has used sliding doors in this car like they are seen in the Omni. The company has kept the height of this car 45 mm more than the current WagonR. Like the rear, tail lamps have been given in the car, in which the dual paint scheme is being offered.

Interior of the new WagonR Smile – The interior of the WagonR Smile has been designed by the company in a different way from the existing WagonR. Its interior has been designed in such a way that it becomes the first choice of the youth. The company has given a mounted steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system, and gear knob attached to the dashboard. The company has used a dual-tone theme in its cabin, which looks quite attractive.

The company has given analog instruments in this car with an upholstery option, under-seat storage, and a small multi-information display. The company also offers a customization package for the customers in which they can choose from decals, body kits, roof rails, alloy wheels, and other accessories to customize the design and look.

The engine of the new WagonR Smile
The WagonR Smile is powered by a 657cc naturally aspirated petrol engine with 3 cylinders that produces 58 Nm of torque and 47 Bhp of power. This car engine is even smaller than the Maruti Alto sold in India. This car engine only comes with a CVT transmission gearbox. Customers can opt for all-wheel drive (AWD) and front-wheel drive (FWD) in this car.
