Washington: The Democratic Party’s national conference began with the Vedas and Shlokas of the Mahabharata and the Ardas of Sikhism at the online all-religion prayer meeting. A follower of the Chinmaya Mission chanted in Texas and Ardas, a leader of the Sikh community associated with the Viscomin Gurdwara. In a four-day conference that began on Monday, former Vice President Joe Biden will be elected as the presidential candidate from the Democratic Party and Indian-origin Senator Kamala Harris will be duly elected as the Vice President.

Earlier, Josh Dickson, Director of National Religion for the Biden For President campaign, organized an all-religion prayer meeting on Sunday in honor of America’s collective strength, diversity and humanity.

“We are going to nominate one of the most experienced and respected leaders of our time as the next presidential candidate and the first woman of Indian origin to nominate a vice president,” said Neelima Gonuguntla, a Texas attorney. We invoke God and seek to draw supernatural inspiration from eternal Hindu texts. ” Neelima, a board member of the Chinmaya Mission Dallas Fort Worth, one of the largest Hindu organizations in the US, recited peace.

He said, “The core of this prayer encourages us to work together in harmony in which not only bear each other, but accept each other with love and there will be no hatred.” It inspires us to do the best we can with energy and deep tenacity. ” For Biden and Harris, he read the lines of the Mahabharata and said, “Yato Krishna Tato Dharma, Yato Dharma Tato Jai”.

The Sarvadharma Sabha was inaugurated by Pradeep Kaleka, son of Sawant Singh Kaleka, the founder of Oak Creek Gurdwara. Sawant died in a 2012 firing incident at the gurdwara in which a 40-year-old attacker killed six people and injured four others. Later another person also died.
