Bhopal: Half of the corona in the state will now be tested using RT-PCR technique. Directorate of Health has issued orders to all districts in this regard. The department has made this arrangement so that the results of the investigation can be found quickly. Until four days ago, with the rapid kit, the capacity of testing every day was five thousand, but only about three thousand tests were being done.
Now after increasing the testing capacity to 15030, 12000 to 13000 tests are being done daily. 15030 is also aimed at conducting probes every day with RT-PCR technology. Officials of the Health Department said that if a district has to do more tests than the target given, then it can be tested more than Rapid Antigen Kit instead of RT-PCR.
NABH hospital can also be tested with a rapid kit
National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH) accredited hospitals have been allowed to test with rapid antigen kits in the state. The purpose of this is that before the operation or other medical procedure, the patient’s corona examination is necessary, so that the hospital management can do it.
Rapid Antigen Testing: This involves taking a sample of the swab from the nose and examining the antigen with a rapid kit. Results are revealed in about 15 minutes. After the report is negative, if the patient has severe symptoms, then it is recommended to undergo RT-PCR technique.
RT-PCR technique: This test is done from the PCR machine in the lab. It is considered more robust than a rapid kit. It is reported on the second or third day.
