Citizens of India should leave Ukraine soon

New Delhi: In view of the deteriorating security situation in Ukraine and recent attacks (Russia-Ukraine War), the Indian Embassy issued an advisory on Wednesday (October 19). In this advisory, the Indian Embassy said that citizens of India are advised not to travel to Ukraine. The embassy has advised Indian nationals, including students in Ukraine, to leave Ukraine at the earliest.

It is noteworthy that earlier today i.e. on Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced martial law in four regions of Ukraine. These four regions include Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, and Kherson, which were illegally occupied by Russia. At the same time, after the declaration of martial law, the heads of all regions of Russia have got additional emergency powers.

During the meeting of the National Security Council, Vladimir Putin said that I have signed a decree imposing martial law on these four subjects of the Russian Federation. After this, the Kremlin published a decree stating that martial law would be implemented in the regions from the beginning of Thursday.
