Taipei: China is red with anger after US President Joe Biden’s statement in support of Taiwan. This is the reason that 30 fighter planes of China have simultaneously infiltrated the Taiwanese airspace. Taiwan’s Air Defense Force swung into action as soon as the information about Chinese fighter planes was received and the patrolling fighter planes were sent to give an immediate warning. Not only this, but Taiwan also warned Chinese pilots through radio and asked them to move away from their area. After which, seeing the Taiwanese planes approaching, the Chinese fighter planes fled in their border.

The Taiwanese Foreign Ministry has said that on May 30, 30 fighter planes of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force entered the South Western Air Defense Zone. This includes 2 Shaanxi KJ-500 AWACS aircraft, 4 Shaanxi Y-8 transport aircraft, 1 Shaanxi Y-8 early warning, 1 Shaanxi Y-8 anti-submarine warfare aircraft, 6 J-16 fighter aircraft, 8 J-11 fighter aircraft, 4 J-10 fighter aircraft, 2 Sukhoi Su-35, and 2 Sukhoi-30 fighter aircraft.

What did Biden say about Taiwan?
US President Joe Biden said that his country would intervene militarily if China attacked Taiwan. Biden said the pressure to defend the self-governing island has increased after Russia’s attack on Ukraine. He said China’s move to use force against Taiwan would not only be unfair, but it would displace the entire region and would be tantamount to actions taken in Ukraine.

China condemns US President’s statement on Taiwan
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin condemned Joe Biden’s statement about Taiwan. He had said that we condemn and reject the American comment. Taiwan is an integral part of Chinese territory and as far as Taiwan is concerned, it is completely an internal matter of China, with no scope for any foreign interference. He said that there is no scope for compromise or concession on issues of core interests of the country, including China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
