Party General Secretary KC Venugopal alleged in a statement, “Priyanka Gandhi has been given notice by the government to vacate the official residence due to BJP’s hatred of the Nehru-Gandhi family and the politics of vengeance.”

He said, “SPG security was given to the Nehru-Gandhi family after the assassination of former Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. This SPG protection was withdrawn only because of political vendetta. ” Venugopal alleged, “Sending Priyanka Gandhi a notice to vacate the house is part of an effort to risk her life.” Despite continuous reports from central agencies about the threat to the Gandhi-Nehru family, their SPG security was removed. ”
