2 injured in firing in UK college

London: Students and staff were evacuated from the campus following a shootout at a UK college in England on Monday. Two college employees have been moderately injured in the incident. However, police say they have not been injured by the bullet. Police said they arrested an 18-year-old man after the incident at West Sussex Crawley College (West Sussex) and recovered weapons and a knife from him. West Sussex is about 32 miles (51 kilometers) from South London. The accused is currently in police custody.

Chief Superintendent Howard Hodges said that officials are in contact with Counter Terrorism Police and investigations are being done in every aspect of the case. Armed police were sent to the spot after receiving information about the firing from the college authorities. The college tweeted that it is awaiting further information from the police but has no information of any serious casualties in the incident. A large number of policemen are present near the college and people have been appealed not to go there.
