New Delhi: The result of the National Testing Agency NEET Examination was declared late on Friday evening. Shoaib Aftab of Odisha has created history in NEET examination by scoring 100 percent this time. Shoaib has scored 720 out of 720. With this, Shoaib has created another history. Actually, before this, there was no NEET topper from Odisha. On Shoaib’s top, his family is very happy. NEET topper Shoaib Aftab said in a conversation with news agency ANI, ‘There is no doctor in my family, so I did not expect to top it. I hoped that I would make it to the top 100 or 50. But it was never expected to score 720 out of 720. The exam was being postponed, so there was a lot of pressure.

The National Examination Agency (NTA) said that about 13.66 lakh students appeared in this examination, out of which a total of 7,71,500 candidates have passed the examination. The highest number of candidates from Tripura (88,889) succeeded in the examination, while the second place was from Maharashtra. 79,974 participants from Maharashtra passed the examination. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) was conducted on 13 September with strict precautionary measures in the midst of the Kovid-19 epidemic.

From this year, 13 All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jawaharlal Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Puducherry, will also be admitted through NEET on MBBS course seats. This change has been made under the National Medical Commission Act-2019 passed by Parliament last year. This time NEET exam was conducted in 11 languages ​​- English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

According to the initial report, 77 percent of the candidates appeared in the English language, 12 percent in Hindi language, and 11 percent in other languages. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the NEET exam was deferred twice this year and the government decided to conduct the exam in spite of opposition from a section to keep the academic session from zero.
