New Delhi: Now 2000 rupee notes will not be seen in the country. The Reserve Bank of India has decided to withdraw the Rs 2000 note. However, Rs 2,000 notes in the market will remain valid. RBI issued this information by issuing a circular on Friday.

2 thousand notes came into the market in November 2016. Then Prime Minister Narendra Modi closed 500 and 1000 notes. After which a new note of 500 and 2000 was issued in the new pattern.

It is noteworthy that RBI stopped printing 2000 notes in 2019. At the same time, now RBI has instructed banks to exchange 2000 notes from May 23 to September 30. Only 20 thousand rupees notes will be changed once.
