Pakistan High Court gives India the chance to appoint a lawyer in the Kulbhushan case

Islamabad: Hearing on the matter related to the appointment of the Defense Council in Islamabad High Court was held in connection with Kulbhushan Jadhav in Jail of Pakistan. The Islamabad High Court has given India another chance to appoint a lawyer for Kulbhushan Jadhav. Also, further hearing of the case has been postponed till 6 October.

Earlier, the court had said that Indian officials should also get a chance to appoint a lawyer for Kulbhushan Jadhav. At the same time, according to Pakistani media reports, on the appeal of the government, the High Court was hearing in this case and it allowed to appoint a Lawyer for Yadav.

Expressing his reaction after the court’s decision on Yadav, Pakistan’s Attorney General Khalid Javed Khan said that an ordinance was issued to give India and Jadhav an opportunity to file a review petition against the sentence. it was done. He further said that we will contact India once again through the office abroad, let us know that the hearing of the case was postponed to 3 September.

Demanded to appoint a legal representative
It is noteworthy that Pakistan has unilaterally filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court on July 22, demanding the appointment of a legal representative for Jadhav. However, the main parties, including the Government of India, were not consulted before filing the petition under the ordinance applicable on 20 May.
