New Delhi: India’s leading telecom company, Jio, has announced a significant increase in mobile recharge rates, ranging from 12% to 27%, effective July 3. This move comes after a gap of approximately two and a half years since the last rate revision.

Key Points:

  1. Rate Hike Details:
  • The lowest recharge price will now be Rs 19, up by 25% from the previous Rs 15 for the 1 GB data ‘add-on-pack.’
  • The 75 GB postpaid data plan cost will rise from Rs 399 to Rs 449.
  • The popular Rs 666 unlimited plan, with an 84-day validity, will see a 20% increase, now priced at Rs 799.
  1. Annual Recharge Plans:
  • Annual recharge plans will also be affected, with prices rising by 20-21%.
  • The Rs 1,559 plan will now cost Rs 1,899, and the Rs 2,999 plan will increase to Rs 3,599.
  1. 5G Access Changes:
  • Currently, subscribers with plans priced above Rs 239 enjoy unlimited free 5G service.
  • Other customers can access unlimited 5G by topping up their plan with a Rs 61 voucher.
