New Delhi: IndiGo said on Thursday that it will give 25 percent discount on airfares to doctors and nurses by the end of 2020, as these coronaviruses are working on the forefront in the fight against the global pandemic. The airline said in a press release, “Nurses and doctors must show a valid ID of the hospital at the time of check-in as proof of their identity.” He said, “Discount will be given when booking tickets from Indigo website. This exemption will be given for travel from 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2020. ”

Domestic flights, which were resumed on May 25 after nearly two months, remain low in number. Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said on Twitter on Thursday that 71,471 passengers traveled in 785 aircraft on 1 July. This means that on an average, 91 passengers traveled on an aircraft on Wednesday. Since the commonly used A320 aircraft has about 180 seats, the number of passengers on July 1 was around 50 percent. Indigo has called the scheme a “Tough Cookie” campaign.
