New Delhi: Technical fault (FAA Outage) remains in the system of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in America. In such a situation, the concern is being expressed in India as to whether it can have an effect on Indian planes as well. DGCA has given an answer regarding this. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has told that the disruption of air service in America has not affected the planes in India. The Directorate General has also said that it is ready to deal with every situation.

According to DGCA senior officials, at present no effect of this disruption has been seen in India. According to officials, there has been no impact on the service of flights going from India to America. The Directorate General has also said that it is aware of the situation and is ready for every emergency.

What is the whole matter?
Significantly, after a technical fault in the FAA’s system, the movement of hundreds of aircraft in the US came to a standstill on Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, the FAA has asked airlines to suspend domestic flight departures until 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time after a computer system glitch. Airlines said that they have already started stopping flights.

The FAA said, “The FAA is working to restore its ‘Notice to Air Mission System’. We are doing a final verification check and reloading the system.”

President Joe Biden has been informed by Transportation Minister Pete Buttigieg about the fault in the FAA system.

White House Press Secretary Karin Jean-Pierre said in a tweet, “There is currently no evidence of a cyberattack, but the President directed DOT to conduct a full investigation into the cause. The FAA will provide regularly updated information.”

The glitch followed a glitch in the FAA’s ‘NOTAM’ (Notice to Air Mission) system. The system alerts pilots and other personnel about airspace issues and delays at other facilities at airports across the country.

More than 1,200 flights operating within the US, arriving in or departing the US have been delayed while more than 100 have been canceled due to the glitch, according to flight tracker FlightAware.
