New Delhi: The state-run electricity giant NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation) announced a special recruitment drive for women officers a day before the Women’s Day. On the occasion of Women’s Day, NTPC Limited (NTPC Ltd.), India’s largest integrated power company, announced plans to recruit only women officers as a special recruitment drive in its areas of operation, the company said in a statement.

According to the company’s statement, it is the largest power generation company in India and now this company will further strengthen women power. Such recruitment drive will increase the gender diversity for NTPC. NTPC is working to improve its gender gap wherever possible.
Application fee completely waived
NTPC said in its statement that initiatives have been taken by the company to attract more women applicants. At the time of recruitment, the application fee is completely waived for female employees. To support the women’s workforce, NTPC follows policies for child care through paid leave, maternity leave, sabbatical leave and NTPC Special Child Care Leave on Adoption of a Child / Delivering Child for Surrogacy.
