New Delhi: According to the schedule announced by the ICC, Team India will play its 9 matches at 9 different venues. The team’s first match will be against Australia on 8 October in Chennai. The Indian team will again take on Afghanistan in Delhi on 11 October and then against Pakistan on 15 October. The big match between India and Pakistan will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Talking about India’s other matches, it will play Bangladesh in Pune on October 19, New Zealand in Dharamsala on October 22, England in Lucknow on October 29, qualifiers in Mumbai on November 2, and South Africa in Kolkata on November 5. Talk about the history of ODI World Cup, Australia has won the most 69 matches. New Zealand’s team is second with 54 wins and Team India is third with 53 wins. In such a situation, this time under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Indian team can reach number two. No other team has been able to win 50 matches in the ODI World Cup so far.
Defending champions England have won 48 matches in the ODI World Cup, Pakistan 45, West Indies 43, South Africa 38, Sri Lanka 38 and Bangladesh 14. Afghanistan’s team has so far won only one match in the ODI World Cup. But the performance of the team has been excellent. Due to this he has qualified directly for the World Cup.
