Lawmakers of the ruling coalition government filed a case against Imran Khan before the Election Commission of Pakistan in August, alleging that Imran had sold three gifted watches to a local dealer for over Rs 15.4 crore. The Pakistan newspaper Dawn reported that the announcement was made by Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja in a four-member bench headed by the main election and delivered the verdict at the ECP Secretariat in Islamabad. He received gifts when Imran Khan was in power and during his visits to Arab countries. These gifts have to be deposited in the Government Toshakhana.

Also, according to allegations, Imran Khan has sold several watches gifted to Toshakhana to a watch dealer for more than Rs 15.4 crore.
In August last, the coalition government filed a petition against Imran Khan for “not sharing details” of Toshakhana gifts and proceeds from their alleged sale.

However, earlier, after hearing the matter, the commission had reserved its decision on the conclusion of the proceedings on 19 September.
