New Delhi: A special NIA court has sentenced terrorist and separatist leader Yasin Malik to life imprisonment in the terror funding case. The court has sentenced them to life imprisonment on two counts. Along with this, a fine of 10 lakh has also been imposed. It may be noted that Malik was convicted by the court on May 19 in a terrorism financing case.
It is to be noted that the separatist leader had admitted all the charges against him, including those under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act. Presently Yasin Malik is currently lodged in Tihar Jail. He is also accused of killing 4 Air Force personnel in the year 1990, which he himself has confessed to.
Punishment in these cases
The court sentenced Malik in a total of eight cases. These include 10 years imprisonment and 10 thousand fine under 120B, life imprisonment and 10 thousand fine in 121, 10 years in 121A 10 thousand fines, 5 years and 5 thousand fines in section 13 of UAPA, 10 in section 15 of UAPA. Imprisonment of one year and a fine of 10 thousand, Section 17 of UAPA punishable with life imprisonment and a fine of 10 lakhs, Section 18 of UAPA attracts 10 years fine, Section 38 and 39 of UAPA 5 years imprisonment and a fine of 5 thousand Is.
Hanging outside the court, two-hanged slogans
There was a lot of displeasure among the people present outside the announcement of the sentence by the court. Expressing unhappiness over this decision of the court, people also raised slogans of hang Yasin Malik.
Pakistan got chilly due to action on Malik
Pakistan has got chilly for blaming the separatist leader. Recently, the Pakistan Foreign Ministry summoned the Indian embassy in charge and handed over a demarche document to him, which strongly condemned the “fabricated allegations” against Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik.
With this, Pak Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif accused Malik of suppressing the voice of Kashmiris, calling Malik innocent. With this, he demanded from other countries to stop this decision of India and oppose it. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has also criticized India for the conviction of Yasin Malik. With this, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto has written a letter to the United Nations demanding pressure on India.
Who is Yasin Malik
Yasin Malik is a professional terrorist. He is also the president and separatist leader of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, which used to work at the behest of Pakistan. Let us inform you that Yasin Malik was mainly involved in the massacre and migration of Kashmiri Hindus in Kashmir in the 90s.
