In West Bengal, more than 24 thousand cases of coronavirus were reported in 24 hours on Sunday. According to the report of the Ministry of Health, 24 thousand 287 new cases were registered in the state in the last day while 18 people died due to infection in the state during this period. In the last 24 hours, 8 thousand 213 people recovered and returned to their homes in the state.

According to the report of Covid released by the Ministry of Health of the state government, there are 78,111 active cases in the state at present, while if we talk about recovery cases, till now a total of 16 lakh, 57 thousand,034 people have recovered and returned home. Since the first wave of Covid, a total of 19 thousand 901 people have died due to infection in the state.

After the rise in the number of corona cases, the Covid guidelines are being strictly followed in the state once again and the government has also implemented restrictions to prevent infection. The state government has given instructions to operate beauty parlors and salons with 50 percent capacity.

Despite all the restrictions, Corona is spreading rapidly in West Bengal. West Bengal has now joined the list of top 4 states with the most active cases. Within a week, the infection rate of corona in Bengal has reached more than 19 percent.
