New Delhi: Apple has given a black cutout notch on the top of the iPhone 14. Instead of the front camera and speaker on the notch, users will now get a space where they will be able to see the alerts and background activities received on the phone. This space has been named Dynamic Iceland by the company. It was launched at Apple’s Far Out event held on 7 September.

Apple said in a statement announcing its new release that Dynamic Iceland enables new ways to interact with the iPhone. It has a design that blends the line between hardware and software. It displays important alerts, notifications, and activities in real-time.

Social media discussion
While on one hand Apple’s Dynamic Iceland feature is being praised on social media, on the other hand, it has also become a subject of jokes. Tech journalist and podcaster Federico Viticki said Dynamic Iceland was one of his favorite software-related surprises.

People commented
Justine Ezarik, an American YouTuber, tweeted, ‘This is an interesting way to hide the camera and Face ID cutout.’ At the same time, Armando Tinoco, editor of entertainment website Deadline, commented, ‘I made this Iceland with the iPhone 14 Pro. Is purchased. Great marketing for blurring software with hardware.’ Also, investor Yuri Sagalov said Dynamic Iceland was a lesson in how to turn a weakness into a strength.

Feature name joke
Not only this, a Twitter user made fun of the name of the feature and said who called it Dynamic Iceland instead of Notification Center? Another user called it a reference to the popular dating reality shows Love Iceland. Indian entertainment editor Tushar Joshi wrote, “I see Apple producing a dating show called ‘Dynamic Iceland’ where everything gets blurry all at once and nobody pays attention to them Is.’
