Bhopal: Vaccination of people of 18+ in Madhya Pradesh will now start from May 5. This category will include people between the ages of 18 and 44. For this, 5 crore 19 lakh doses of corona vaccine will be required in the state.

In Madhya Pradesh, people of 18+ will also start getting anti corona vaccine from May 5. The Government of India has started these programs across the country from May 1. But due to lack of vaccine in some states including Madhya Pradesh, this program could not start from May 1. Today, CM Shivraj held a meeting in this regard. It fixed the date of vaccination.

5 crore 19 lakh doses needed
Under the new program, the vaccination program for people between the ages of 18 to 44 is being started from May 5. Five crore 19 lakh doses of vaccine will be required for this category of patients in the entire state. The CM had called a meeting regarding the preparations for vaccination. It reviewed the vaccination program and preparations.

Order to both companies
The government has placed an order with Bharat Biotech and Serum Institute for Covishield and Covacin, both vaccine manufacturers in India. The program will continue depending on the availability of vaccines.

1 lakh 48 thousand doses in 1480 sessions
1 lakh 48 thousand doses are scheduled to be administered in a total of 1480 sessions from May 5 to May 15. The target is to apply 41,600 doses in 416 sessions on May 8 and 10. Similarly, 96,000 doses will be administered on May 12, 13 and 15 in 960 sessions.

Vaccination of journalists
Journalists from Madhya Pradesh will be vaccinated in district-wise special sessions. This vaccine will be free. This facility is being given to the preferred journalists. Congress has demanded that all the journalists in the state be vaccinated.
