New Delhi: The airline’s new brand identity and aircraft livery were unveiled on Thursday as part of plans to turn around Air India after coming under the ownership of the Tata group. In a release, Air India said that the new look of the aircraft has been designed with gold window frames for the Indian windows already used by Air India. In the release, it has been described as a symbol of the window of possibilities.
According to the release, Air India’s new logo is inspired by the pinnacle of The Vista gold window frame, which reflects the airline’s bold, confident vision of limitless possibilities, progressiveness, and the future. The look and design of the new aircraft include deep red, purple, and gold color highlights as well as a chakra-inspired pattern, the airline said. The new brand identity has been designed in partnership with Futurebrand, a brand transformation company.
Air India said passengers will start seeing the new logo during their journeys starting December 2023. This logo will be displayed on the airline’s first A350 aircraft. The Tata Group took over control of loss-making Air India from the government in January 2022. Since then, he has made several plans for the rejuvenation of the airline. In this sequence, Air India has also placed an order of $ 70 million for the supply of 470 aircraft to Airbus and Boeing.
N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Group’s flagship company Tata Sons, said on the occasion that the best of artificial intelligence and machine learning will be used in Air India’s operations. He said that the focus is on upgrading all aspects of human resources in its operations. Chandrasekaran said that this airline is not just another business for the Tata group but a passion and a national mission.
Air India CEO Campbell Wilson said, “This is a complete transformation of Air India. It’s not just changing brands. Now, of course, this takes time. This is a great project. There are a lot of moving parts in this. But we are fully committed to the transformation of Air India. We’re investing a lot of money, a lot of time, a lot of passion
