Roorkee: Though the Center and the State Government are working on the landslides happening in Joshimath of Uttarakhand and the cracks coming into the houses, the scientists of IIT Roorkee are also worried about the matter. It has given suggestions regarding the solution to this problem from his level. Scientists of IIT Roorkee say that landslides in the mountains are a natural cause, but the geographical condition of Joshimath is slightly different. Earthquakes from Auli, Dhauli Ganga to Ganga can be a big reason here, so a special landscape has been created here.

AS Maurya Scientist IIT Roorkee said that with the increase in population in Joshimath, the drainage system in the city has not been made accordingly. Scientists of IIT Roorkee told that the landslide happening in Joshimath can be stopped because when big dams are being built to stop the water, then it can also be stopped, but structures will not have to be built according to the ground. Also, a geophysical survey and study of those hot supports will have to be done, only then some solution can be found.

Pradeep Srivastava, Scientist at IIT says that the Uttarakhand government has all the facilities and resources, so everyone has to work on a single platform only then one can find a solution to the landslide happening in Joshimath.

It is known that hundreds of houses are on the verge of collapse in the Joshimath area of Uttarakhand. Dangerous cracks are widening in the walls of city buildings and roads, through which large amounts of water are flowing. In the Himalayan town of Joshimath, this disaster has been going on continuously for many years ago. It is being said that the sinking of land in Joshimath’s Dhansav area started long ago and is still going on.
