Prime Minister Modi had expressed his desire
According to sources, after seeing the Diwali of Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had congratulated Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the successful organization and also expressed his desire to organize Dev Diwali on the ghats of Benaras with similar grandeur. After this, the Information Department has started preparations for the grand Dev Diwali in Benaras. Now the people of Benaras will see Diwali like Ayodhya on the banks of Ganga on the evening of November 29.

The laser show will be the special attraction
This time the laser show on the ghats of Kashi can become the center of attraction of the people. The way the Ayodhya laser show brought the world face to face with the grandeur of its Diwali, a similar attempt will be made this time on the ghats of Benaras.
Prime may be involved
It is believed that Prime Minister Modi himself may join the Dev Diwali program. However, Dev Diwali is already celebrated with great fanfare every year on the ghats of Benaras and people from all over the world come to see it. On the other hand, this time the event may be even more special as Prime Minister Modi himself wants the Diwali of Benaras to look divine and grand on the lines of Ayodhya.
Ram temple here, Vishwanath corridor there
This time the beginning of construction of Ram temple is also a big reason behind the grand event of Ayodhya. On the other hand, Baba Vishwanath Corridor of Varanasi will also open to the public next year. Just like the grand Diwali was celebrated before the construction of the temple in Ayodhya, before the opening of the Baba Vishwanath Corridor in Varanasi, the government also wants to give a big shape to the Diwali there.
20-25 lakh lamps will shine
According to Avinash Mishra, Joint Director, Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, this time Kashi Ghats will be decorated with about 20-25 lakh lamps in Dev Diwali. This year Dev Diwali, better and better than previous years, will be celebrated and a big light festival will be organized. A big cultural program will also be organized on the day of Dev Diwali. On the other hand, such arrangements will also be made in Ganga Aarti, so that people can follow social distance and maintain distance.
Religious-cultural significance of Dev Diwali
It is believed that on the day of Diwali, all the deities come to the ghats of Benaras. On the full moon day of Kartik, Lord Shiva killed a demon named Tripurasura. After the massacre of Tripurasura, all the gods and goddesses celebrated together. The tradition of celebrating Dev Diwali on the full moon day of Kartik in Kashi has been going on for centuries. Lamp lighting is of special importance on this day. It is believed that Lord Shankara himself celebrated Diwali with the deities on the banks of the Ganges, hence the religious, spiritual and cultural significance of Deva Diwali also increases.
