Yes, on the day of the final match of the FIFA World Cup played between Argentina and France, the fans of Kerala, immersed in celebration, drank alcohol worth 56 crores in one day.

According to a report, liquor worth about 35 crores is sold daily in Kerala, but on Sunday, the day of the final of the FIFA World Cup, people consumed liquor worth 56 crores. Out of these 56 crores, 49.40 crores were sold by the Kerala State Beverages Corporation, the only wholesaler of liquor and beer in the state. Apart from this, the sales made through the retail outlets of KSBC and Marketed were close to six crores.

It was told that usually, the sale of liquor in Kerala is close to 50 crores on festivals like Christmas and Onam, but all previous records were broken in the final of the FIFA World Cup.

In the first half of the title match, Argentina had made a strong hold on the match by scoring two goals.
