New Delhi: Eight flights have been diverted to Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, and Dehradun on Monday due to bad weather in the national capital Delhi. This information was given by Delhi Airport sources.

Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds lashed parts of Delhi on Monday, causing power outages at many places in the city. However, people battling the sultry morning and scorching heat got a lot of respite from this changing weather. Thunder clouds and pleasant winds accompanied by rain gusted up to 50 km/h in the city.

The minimum temperature in Delhi today was recorded at 27.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season’s average. The Meteorological Department had predicted a cloudy sky in the city on Monday. Humidity stood at 63 percent at 8.30 am. The maximum temperature has been around 41 degrees Celsius.

Significantly, parts of the national capital received light rain on Sunday evening with a maximum temperature of 40.7 degrees Celsius, which is normal for this season.
