New Delhi: Any gathering within a radius of 200 meters from the gates of schools, PU colleges, degree colleges, or other similar educational institutions in the city of Bengaluru. Movement or protest has been banned for two weeks with immediate effect. The administration has issued an order in this matter.

The continuing protests in College Compass came to an end on Wednesday after orders to close all high schools and colleges in the state.

Earlier on Tuesday, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai had ordered the closure of all schools and colleges in Karnataka for the next three days. Bommai tweeted about the matter saying That being said, I appeal to all the students, teachers, and management of schools and colleges as well as the people of Karnataka to maintain peace and harmony. I have ordered the closure of all high schools and colleges for the next three days. Cooperation is requested from all concerned.

Meanwhile, many videos from colleges in many areas of the state are also coming out on social media. In this episode, on Tuesday morning, a similar video surfaced on social media from a college in Karnataka, in which a student wearing a hijab was tried to surround a girl wearing a saffron scarf in a college in Karnataka. It can be seen in the video that the boys are continuously shouting slogans of Jai Shri Ram when the girl wearing the hijab starts shouting slogans of Allah Hu Akbar.

The hijab issue started last month at the Government Girls PU College in Udupi after six students alleged that they were barred from attending classes for wearing headscarves. In Udupi and Chikkamagaluru, some students objected to Muslim girls wearing hijab and started attending classes wearing saffron scarves. After this, the controversy which started from Udupi has started spreading to other colleges of the state as well.
