Mumbai: In a meeting of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to organize the 13th edition of the league from 19 September to 10 November. The tournament has been approved to play in the UAE. It will consist of 10 doubleheader matches. The evening matches will start at 7:30 pm Indian time. The IPL final will be played on 10 November. Teams will be able to include 24-24 players.
On Sunday, the Governing Council of the IPL met in which the final dates, and the 13th edition of the tournament have been discussed. The issue related to the Chinese sponsors of the IPL has also been discussed and the news is that the Governing Council in the IPL decided to retain all the sponsors for the T20 tournament, including the Chinese companies.
In the meeting, it has been decided to play the tournament till 10 November, for the first time the final match of IPL will be played on Week Day. To ensure that adequate spacing between the games is kept in view of strict protocols.
