The focus of the budget for the financial year 2024 is on the security of the Indian Ocean region and dealing with the challenge of China. Explain that for this sector, America has increased the defense budget by 40 percent and fixed $ 9.1 billion. This is the biggest budget ever for the security of this region. The US Defense Minister said that this is a strategic budget and it has been prepared to keep in mind the challenge of the People’s Republic of China. Compared to last year, America has increased its defense budget by 13.4 percent.
America will spend on these items
Out of the total defense budget, $170 billion will be spent on buying new weapons and other equipment for the army. $61 billion will be spent on the B-21 Raider. At the same time, $ 48 billion will be spent on the construction of nine warships for the US Navy. $37.7 billion will be spent on command, control, and communications of nuclear weapons. The US Defense Minister said that the US Army does not fight alone, therefore allies are important to us and full care has been taken in the budget. Cooperation with the Philippines will be increased and Japan is also increasing its defense spending. AUKUS will also enhance defense cooperation with UK and Australia.
