Berlin: The ongoing high-level talks in Vienna with the aim of bringing the US back to the 2015 Nuclear Agreement with Iran are moving forward and expert proposals this week We are working on drafting, but the solution is still far away. Representatives of Russia gave this information on Monday. The US withdrew from the agreement unilaterally in 2018 under the reign of then-President Donald Trump. The agreement provides for economic stimulus to Iran against restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program. Trump then said that the agreement needed to be renegotiated.
Instead, Iran continues to violate the sanctions outlined in the agreement. He is doing uranium enrichment beyond the prescribed purity limit and accumulating large amounts of reserves. US President Joe Biden wants Washington to return to the pact.
Iran has been talking about it to five big superpowers – Germany, France, Britain, China and Russia – for the last two weeks. Diplomats from these countries are exchanging messages between the Iranian delegation and the American delegates. The US representatives are also in Vienna but are not in direct talks with the Iranian side. Russian representative Mikhail Ulyanov said, “We can say with satisfaction that negotiations are reaching draft level.”
