Tel Aviv, Israel – In a daring operation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) eliminated four senior Hamas leaders who were hiding within Gaza City’s al-Shifa hospital. Among the deceased, Raad Thabet led a Hamas recruitment team, while Mahmoud Khalil Zakzuk served as the deputy commander of Hamas’ rocket unit in Gaza City, according to IDF reports.

Additional Details:

  • Fadi Dweik, a senior Hamas intelligence officer, met his fate during the operation. Notably, he was involved in a 2002 shooting incident in the West Bank, which claimed the lives of four Israeli citizens.
  • Zakaria Najib, another casualty, held a senior position at Hamas’ West Bank headquarters. His role included planning and organizing attacks on Israel within the West Bank.

The IDF’s statement on Saturday night revealed that the shelling persisted at the al-Shifa hospital complex, resulting in the demise of approximately 200 Hamas activists sheltered inside. Simultaneously, the IDF targeted Hamas gunmen in the Khan Yunis area of southern Gaza.

The Israeli Air Force also conducted airstrikes in the Al-Amal and Al-Qurara areas. Sources from the Israeli Defense Ministry confirmed ongoing search operations at Al-Shifa and Al-Nasser hospitals, where numerous Hamas members remain in hiding. The situation remains tense as the conflict escalates.
