The Hague: Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands and his entire cabinet resigned on Friday taking political responsibility for a scam related to the investigation into child welfare payments (Resign) gave. Investigations have revealed that parents were falsely accused of fraud in the scam.
In his speech addressed to the nation on television, Rutte said that he had informed Emperor William Alexander of the Netherlands about his decision and promised that his government would pay compensation to the affected parents at the earliest and the Coronavirus.

Rutte said, “We all believe that if the whole system has failed, we should all take responsibility and… we came to the conclusion that I offered the resignation of the entire cabinet to the emperor.” Rutte’s government will hold office until a new government is formed after the elections in the Netherlands on 17 March.

After Rutte’s resignation, a decade of his continuation in the post came to an end. However, his party is expected to win the election, and he is at the forefront of starting talks to form the next government. If he succeeds in forming a new coalition, Rutte is likely to become prime minister again.
