The SIT said in the report that one of the two main cables of the bridge over the Machchu river, built by the then rulers in 1887, had a corrosion problem and may have been broken before the cable broke on the evening of October 30 on about half of its wires. Explain that the Morbi Municipality had given the contract for the maintenance and operation of the bridge to the Oreva Group without the approval of the General Board, which closed the bridge for renovation in March 2022 and opened it on October 26 without permission.
