Triumph will launch its luxurious sports bike, looks are killer too, know the price

New Delhi: Triumph is going to launch its new sports bike Trident Sport 660 in India soon. At present, the company has not announced its official date, but it is believed that these two can be launched only this month. The bike has been listed on the company’s official website.

When launched, the bike will be positioned as the entry-level model in the company’s Tiger family. It is likely to be priced between ₹8.5 Lakh to ₹9.5 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Talking about the look of the Trident Sport 660, it comes with a special-looking sporty half-fairing with LED headlights. The company has also given it a very modern-looking TFT instrument console and the bike gets a fuel tank of 17 liters, which is 3 liters more than the Trident. Internationally, it has been launched in three color options Lucerne Blue and Sapphire Black, Korosi Red and Graphite, and one Graphite and Black.

Being based on the Trident it uses the same mainframe, however, the rear subframe is updated to account for the added weight of the bike, which is designed to be carried as an adventure tourer. Apart from this, it also gets a longer swingworm which is extended by 11 mm.

Talking about the engine of the bike, it gets a 660cc three-cylinder engine, which is similar to the Trident. It generates 81 bhp power at 0,250rpm and 64Nm torque at 6,250rpm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and an optional up/down quickshifter. Some of the key equipment on the bike includes its non-adjustable 41 mm USD fork and pre-load adjustable shock with remote preload adjuster. When launched, it will give tough competition to the Kawasaki Versys 650.
