Mumbai: The decision of the CBI Special Court (CBI Court) has come in the case of the suicide of film actress Jiah Khan. The CBI has acquitted Sooraj Aditya Pancholi, son of film actor Aditya Pancholi, in this case, due to lack of evidence. Last June 3, 2013, it took about 10 years for the decision to come in this case. 25-year-old film actress Jiah Khan committed suicide by hanging herself at her Juhu apartment in Mumbai. A continuous hearing was being done on this.
This decision was to come today at 11 am. But there was some delay in coming to a decision on this matter. The hearing in the case started at 12:30 and the court pronounced its order. CBI Special Court Judge AS Syed acquitted Sooraj Aditya Pancholi for not getting enough evidence against him. The judge called Sooraj Pancholi into the dock as soon as he entered the courtroom. After this, the verdict was given to acquit them.
Before the verdict in the court, Sooraj Pancholi was first called into the witness box. After this, the judge asked his name again. Suraj told his full name and said, Suraj Aditya Pancholi. After this, the court gave its verdict and said that you are acquitted of this whole matter. All the people related to this case were present in the court at the time of the decision. The court said that there is not enough evidence in the case against Suraj. That’s why acquitted.
During the hearing, as soon as the court gave its decision to acquit Suraj, he thanked the court. While Suraj was present in the courtroom, no one looked very happy after being acquitted. Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia was also present in the courtroom. Jia’s mother must have looked dejected. The judge has also asked Rabia’s lawyer to file an appeal challenging the court’s decision. It is said that Rabia had come from London today itself and was expressing hope that today her daughter would get justice after 10 years.

2015 – CBI filed the charge sheet.
August 2016 – He confirms Jiah’s death was due to hanging and denies murder angle.
September 2017 – Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia writes an open letter to the central government demanding justice. And raised questions about the CBI investigation. Rabia Khan had alleged that her daughter was murdered and the body was hanged from the ceiling fan, and this whole matter is murder.
April 28, 2023 – The special court pronounced its verdict in the Zia Khan case around 12.30 pm on Friday.
Suraj Pancholi, accused in the Jiah Khan suicide case, was acquitted by the court due to lack of sufficient evidence.
