New Delhi: Google has introduced 3 new features for those who are fond of traveling. These features will help travelers book hotels, find attractions in a city, etc. But the most special feature is the price guarantee feature made for booking tickets for flights. This feature will ensure that people get flight tickets at the lowest price. Google’s Price Guarantee feature monitors flight prices daily, and if there is a lower ticket price at any point from booking to the day of the flight, Google’s feature will ensure that there is a difference between the lowest price and the booking charge. The difference should be returned to you.
Let’s understand by example. Suppose you checked flights from Mumbai to Delhi. You got a price guarantee badge on a flight on 25th May. This means that according to Google, the cost of this flight cannot be less than this. Now if you booked that flight for any reason before the 25th the ticket price is reduced to 4500. So the difference of Rs 500 that has come, and Google will return you through Google Pay.
Right now when you search for flights on Google, Google gives you the list of every flight. Along with this, it tells which flight is at what time, which day it is, and how much is its ticket. When you choose your flight, Google then opens another list and puts it in front. This is a list of those websites where you can book tickets. There is a possibility that in a few days, Google will also show the option of Book with Google along with these. By choosing this option, you will be able to book tickets from Google itself and Google will refund you the price difference.
At present, this feature of Google has been implemented on flights originating from America of Alaska, Spirit, and Hawaiian Airlines of America. Google has described it as a pilot program, which if successful can be expanded.
Searching for hotels on the phone will be easy
Google has also introduced a new feature to make it easier to find hotels on mobile. If you search for a hotel on your phone, then by going to its See More option, you will be able to see the photos of the hotel by swiping. You will be able to browse for other hotels by saving this hotel. And then by seeing the details and photos of all the saved hotels again, you can book the hotel of your choice.
What is the first thing you do when you plan to visit a city? Let’s search on Google ‘Things to do in XYZ place.’ Google is going to make this feature easier. As soon as you search on Google, the list will open. Along with this, you will also see how much will be spent on that activity in the listing itself. Right now it is only visible which places can be visited or which activities can be done and what is their rating. After the update, the price of all these will also be visible on Google itself.
Along with these, Google has a plan that it will also launch Extreme Heat Alerts. So that people can be alerted by giving information about the heat waves.
