New Delhi: The Bengaluru-Delhi flight of Go First took off without taking 50 passengers. These 50 passengers had completed all the formalities of check-in and boarding etc. Yet the GoFirst flight flew from Bengaluru to Delhi without these 50 passengers. Go First is conducting its internal investigation into this matter. This incident happened yesterday. Go First sent all these 50 passengers who were left at the Bangalore airport to Delhi on another flight. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has sought a report from Go First in this entire matter. DCGA can take necessary action on Go First after the report.
After this incident, angry passengers are demanding answers from the airline on Twitter. Many of them have also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s office and Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in their tweets.
GoFirst has not yet released any statement regarding the incident. One of the passengers stranded at Bengaluru airport wrote that flight G8 116 (BLR – DEL) took off leaving passengers behind! More than 50 passengers were dropped at the airport in 1 bus and the flight took off with passengers from only 1 bus. Is @GoFirstairways working on sleep? Is there no basic investigation being done?
Responding to these two tweets by passengers, GoFirst Airline asked passengers to provide their PNR, contact number, and email ID, so that GoFirst Airline’s team could look into the matter.
This incident has happened at a time when many cases of ill-treatment of passengers in flights are continuously coming to the fore. Many airlines are facing investigations in this regard. There have been many incidents of misbehavior in flights. In which two cases of drinking and urinating on co-passengers are also included.
