When 12 militants were rescued by women
But in the midst of all this, a big development was witnessed on Saturday. In fact, the security forces here were forced to release 12 Kanglei Yavol Kanna Lup (KYKL) militants due to the uncontrollable crowd.
According to information, security forces had surrounded 12 KYKL militants in a village. Before they could do anything further, a crowd of about 1500 people led by women came here. In view of this huge crowd, the security forces here were forced to release the 12 militants who were caught after hard work.
Tamba was also included in 12 militants
According to reports, Moirangthem Tamba alias Uttam was also among the 12 militants. Let us tell you that this Tamba was also the mastermind of the attack in the year 2015, in which 18 soldiers of the security forces died tragically.
On the other hand, according to the Defense PRO in Imphal, security forces personnel had repeatedly appealed to the crowd to disperse. But when they did not back down. So in the end those 12 dreaded terrorists were forced to leave. However, before this, the security forces had seized a large quantity of weapons from the militants. However, this is not the first time that women have come forward to save the militants here. Earlier also such a case had come to the fore.
When CBI was also helpless
Similarly, on June 22, a mob led by women protesters blocked the path of a CBI team. Actually, this team was on its way to enter the Manipur Police Training College to investigate the loot of arms. On the other hand, on June 23, the army had told in a tweet that, a women-led mob prevented security personnel from entering the area from where armed miscreants were firing unbridled with automatic guns.
