New Delhi: An upgraded version of the Pinaka Mk-I rockets was successfully tested on Wednesday in Chandipur, Odisha. The firepower of this guided rocket has been enhanced. This test was performed by the Proof and Experiment Establishment. According to the news agency ANI, a total of 6 rockets were launched in the series and all the tests completed the mission objectives.
An official said that all flight records were tracked by range instruments such as telemetry, radar and electro-optical tracking systems. He explained that the Pinaka MK-I is the latest version of the current Pinaka. According to sources, the Pinaka did not have a guidance system earlier, it has now been upgraded and equipped with a guidance system.
