New Delhi: As the countdown to the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup ticks down to just 30 days, the cricket world is abuzz with anticipation, and now there’s a soundtrack to match the excitement. Grammy award-winning artist Sean Paul and Soca sensation Kes have teamed up to release the official anthem of the tournament, aptly named ‘Out of this World’.

The anthem, a fusion of pulsating rhythms and infectious melodies, sets the stage for the upcoming cricket extravaganza that will see 20 teams from around the globe compete in 55 thrilling matches. The tournament is poised to commence on June 2nd, with the United States and the Caribbean playing host to what promises to be a historic event.

The anthem’s release was accompanied by a vibrant music video, produced by Michael “Tano” Montano, showcasing some of the most iconic figures in sports. The video features cameos from the lightning-fast Usain Bolt, cricket legends Chris Gayle, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Stafanie Taylor, and USA’s very own Ali Khan, among other notable Caribbean stars.

Sean Paul expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the unifying power of music and cricket. “This song is a celebration of positive vibes and Caribbean pride. I’m eager for the cricket carnival to begin and to see fans light up the stadiums with their voices, echoing the anthem across the West Indies and the USA,” he said.

Kes, whose connection to cricket is rooted in the Caribbean’s rich sporting heritage, shared his excitement about contributing to such a significant project. “It’s an honor to be part of the T20 World Cup in this way. Cricket is more than a game in the Caribbean; it’s a way of life. This anthem is a tribute to that spirit of unity and the dynamic energy that cricket brings to our culture,” Kes remarked.
