- Threat Email: At 10:50 pm, the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) office at IGI Airport received an email warning of a bomb inside the Air Canada flight.
- Security Measures: Following standard security protocols, the aircraft was sent to an isolation bay for a thorough screening process. Fortunately, no suspicious items were found, ensuring the safety of passengers.
- Vistara Incidents: This incident closely follows a security scare involving a Paris-Mumbai Vistara flight. On that flight, a handwritten note threatening a bomb was discovered on an airsickness bag. Vistara confirmed the security concern on their flight UK 024 operating from Paris to Mumbai on June 2, 2024.
- Previous Threats: In recent weeks, Vistara flight UK611 from Delhi and IndiGo flight 6E-5314 from Chennai to Mumbai also faced bomb threats. Additionally, an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Varanasi encountered a similar situation on May 28.
