Jakarta: Tsunami warning has once again been issued in Indonesia. This warning has been issued after a 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck the East Nusa Tengara region here. Given information about this, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of a tsunami. At the same time, the European Mediterranean Seismology Center has assessed that this earthquake was of 7.7 magnitudes.
According to media reports, so far no loss of life or property has been reported in this earthquake. At the same time, the US Geological Survey has later informed that the magnitude of this earthquake is 7.3 on the Richter scale. A person from Maumere Town on Flores Island has told that after the earthquake, people came out of their homes due to fear.
According to the information, the epicenter of this earthquake was 112 km northwest of Larantuka, the eastern part of Flores Island, at a depth of 12 km. Since its arrival, a tsunami warning has been issued for Maluka, East Nusa Tengara, West Nusa Tengara, Southeastern, and South Sulawesi.
According to the information, aftershocks were also felt after the tremors of the first earthquake in Larantuka. This aftershock was of 5.6 magnitudes. There is no report of any kind of damage after this earthquake.
